The restriction of provincial buses along the EDSA was moved to August 1

The Manila Metropolitan Development Authority (MMDA) announced yesterday that the planned regulation of provincial buses along the EDSA will be implemented from August 1 to place of July 15th. Also changed at 7-10 am and 6-9 pm on weekdays for buses heading north and south. The restricted area is between Cubao, Quezon City and Pasay City. "The changes have been agreed at an emergency meeting with provincial bus operators and other stakeholders recently," said MMDA General Manager José Arturo S. Garcia, during a meeting with from a press briefing Wednesday afternoon. Mr Garcia said the regulation would be in force until the three main bus terminals are operational, namely: the Valenzuela terminal, which should open in August; Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange by September; and Sta. Rosa, Laguna terminal in December.
