(CNN) – A box of four CDs of new material by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers will be released in September, announced SiriusXM Tuesday.
"An American Treasure" is the first posthumous musical project since the rocker died of an accidental overdose in October. He is 66 years old.
According to Rolling Stone, the collection will include 60 "unpublished studio recordings, live recordings, deep cuts and alternative versions of Petty's popular songs."
SiriusXM debuted part of one of the songs, "Keep a Little Soul," on his Tom Petty channel on Tuesday.
With hits such as "American Girl", "Do not Do Like Me Like That" and "Learn to Fly", Petty and her long-time band were famous for a rugged rock brand, which made it a favorite. they have been a radio classic for decades.
They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002.
"An American Treasure" will be released in September 28.
