This is officially a green light for Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) which unveils the all-new Vios during a media launch at Okada Manila in the city of Parañaque.
New design and functionality define it from its predecessor, which now consists of features such as: Eco & Sport mode, daytime running lights, vehicle stability control and 7 SRS airbags, among others.
The all-new Vios is available in six variants: 1.3 Base, 1.3 J, 1.3 E, 1.3 E Prime, 1.5 G and 1.5 G Prime.
TMP stated that the "Prime" models are intended to capture the country's younger market.
All variants are equipped with a Dual VVT-i 4-C 16-cylinder online EFI Inline-Cylinder Engine (DFI) 16V
For versions 1.3, the Vios develops 98 hp and 123 Nm while for models 1.5, it delivers 106 hp and 140 Nm.
variations: Super Red, Mica Blue Greyish Metallic, White Freedom, Alumina Jade Metallic, Mica Red Blackish, Thermalyte, White Pearl, Mica Red Metallic and Black .
The price for the all-new Vios starts at P600,000 with the Toyota aims to sell an average of 3,500 units per month in which they compete to reach their target of 200,000 units sold over a six-year period.
Since its introduction in the local market in 2003, the Vios has been Toyota's best-selling model with more than 270,000 units sold.
The manufacture of the brand new Vios has already begun in Sta. Rosa factory in Laguna.
