The all-new Toyota Vios is officially in the Philippines

After officially deploying the 2019 Vios at their Santa Rosa factory, Laguna, Toyota Motor Philippines has now launched the all-new Vios . It replaces the previous generation model that has been on the Philippine market since 2013. The Vios 2019 is also locally assembled, as are the models from the previous generation.

Earlier in the week, AutoIndustriya.com was already able to acquire a copy of the brochure of the brand new Vios As mentioned in the article, the Vios 2019 will be available with 6 different variants: 1.3 Basic Model, 1.3 J, 1.3 E, 1.3 E Prime, 1.5 G and 1.5 G Prime. Both the 1.3 E Prime and the 1.5 G Prime are the newest in the lineup and each of these trim levels has its own differences. These are all detailed in our previous article.

Apart from differences in finish, the Vios will continue to be offered with a 1.3-liter engine or 1.5 liter. The 1.3-liter 1NR-FE four-cylinder engine continues to produce 98 hp and 123 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the 1.5-liter 2NR-FE delivers 106 PS and 140 Nm of torque. Depending on the version, both engines can be equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

The biggest improvement of 2019 Vios would be the safety features. All variants, yes even the base model of fleet-spec 1.3, are equipped with seven airbags, EBD, and Brake Assist. Stability control will also be standard
