Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 30) – The country's first public university will not extend the deadline for applications, despite a crowd of people who gathered Monday.
A video clip shared by the Collegian Philippines on Twitter said that up to 10,000 high school students went to the registrar's office of the University of the Philippines Diliman to file their test forms. admission to the College of the University of the Philippines (UPCAT).

Monday was the deadline set by the university for students of private schools in Metro Manila to submit their applications.
Parents and students began arriving on campus the night before to overtake the deadline. The crowd had grown as the registrar's office opened and people began to make their way to the front.

. In a statement issued by the Philippine Collegian, the UP Office of Admissions will not extend the deadline.

There would be more boxes for students to leave their forms, he added.

Students from public schools in the National Capital Region can submit their UPCAT forms until August 3, while students from private and public schools from other regions have until August 10 to submit their UPCAT forms.
