Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 13) – Local governments in parts of Luzon have announced class suspensions due to inclement weather.
The governor of Bataan Abet Garcia announced the suspension of classes at all levels. the province today because of the rains caused by the southwestern monsoon.
Mayor Rolen Paulino also announced the suspension of classes in the city of Olongapo at all levels, public and private, due to bad weather. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Authority (PAGASA) said in a bulletin early Friday morning that the southwestern monsoon would bring rains to parts of the country.
PAGASA also monitors a Low Pressure Zone (LPA) at 715 kilometers east of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte.
