Philips Hue enters the old school with Edison-style smart light bulbs

Philips Hue launches several new products here at IFA 2019, including a new collection of impressive filaments that adds some old school charm to this mix.

Philips Hue Filament Collection

Up to 16 million colors and the ability to control all of your lighting configuration with just one phone are fantastic. But if you're not ready to switch to smart light bulbs because you prefer the look of an old-school light bulb, your wait is over.

The new Philips Hue Filament collection looks exactly like an Edison style bulb with its glowing inner coil. It is always an LED bulb and includes all the features you expect from a Hue Smart bulb. You can increase or decrease the brightness, configure and control a network of light bulbs and do much more by simply using your phone. Up to 550 lumens, these are also very bright.

The Philips Hue starts at $ 19.99 (~ $ 22). The Filament collection will be on sale next week in Europe and will be available in the US in October at a starting price of $ 24.99.

Hue Go Portable Smart Lamp

The Hue Go Smart Lamp is an extremely convenient multicolor lighting option that you can carry everywhere with you. The original version was far from perfect, and Philips Hue aims to solve many of these problems with the update of 2019.

The most important upgrade is the life of the battery. With the new model, it goes from 3 hours to 10 hours. Like the rest of its intelligent lighting, the new Hue Go is also Bluetooth compatible. This allows you to control it with a phone or with your voice with the help of smart home assistants. Finally, the charging port is easier to reach and it becomes brighter than the previous version.

The Hue Go Enhanced Portable Smart Lamp will be available in Europe next week and will arrive in the US in November for $ 79.99.

Philips Hue Smart Plug

The Philips Hue Smart Plug allows you to intelligently add to your existing table or floor lamp. It may exaggerate a bit. However, you can turn the lamp on or off with the help of the application, your voice or a smart accessory. Smart plugs are not new, but apparently, Philips was looking for the market.
