Phish camp in Denver canceled because of prairie dogs hit by plague

Thousands of people who planned to camp for three days of Phishing concerts at a stadium outside Denver will no longer be able to do so, fearing only fleas in and around dog burrows meadow could spread the plague.

The Denver Post reports Public health officials are still discovering infected fleas in the fields surrounding Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City. The owner of the stadium has decided to ban camping during Labor Day weekend concerts. The group published the notice on its website on Tuesday.

The group's famous Shakedown Street, where fans sell souvenirs and food, will not be allowed either, as the area usually used by vendors outside the stadium is on a dirt road.
