Phoenix man arrested after allegedly shooting, killing family members

PHOENIX – Authorities say a 34-year-old man is in custody after allegedly shooting and killing three members of his own family on Sunday.

Officers responded to a welfare check call at the family’s home near 32nd Street and Thomas Road after the suspect allegedly told someone he had harmed his family.

When the police entered the house, they found the man’s mother, father and brother all shot dead. According to police, initial reports indicate that the three men may have been dead for some time.

Police are investigating what led to the shooting.

The suspect and the victims are not identified at this time.
