Hello from a beautiful first day of 2021 here at the Magic Kingdom! We ended the evening here last night and have decided to come back here today to start the New Year off on the right foot. We’ve found some new things we’d love to share, so let’s get started!
On our way to the park, we spotted what appears to be a supply cart on the train tracks near Main Street Station, even though it was empty. We also saw work being done yesterday on the track near Fantasyland station.
As we entered the park, we noticed new signs at the front with instructions for later today on how to Park Hop using the bus system. Today marks the first day of Park Hopping since the parks closed in mid-March.
Once in the park, we found Seven Dwarfs Mine Train with an impressive 115 minute wait until 8 a.m. While it didn’t seem like the crowds were too bad today, it was the highest wait time we’ve seen in a while.
We stopped by The Emporium to see what new merchandise might have released today, and we found several new combinations available. Our favorite is the one with Winnie The Pooh! For more photos and information, see our article here.
We also found several new face masks available, now that the holiday masks are about to be released.
All of these face masks were once available as part of a multi-pack on shopDisney, but are now available individually here at Walt Disney World.
All of these masks are currently available in all four sizes, Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large, are made from “New Fabric” and are priced at $ 9.99. Discounts apply upon departure.
We found another addition to the patterned fan line with this Mad Tea Party ‘Spill It’ fan today. For more photos and information, see our article here.
While the Christmas decorations will stick around for a few more days, the Holiday Cavalcades are gone and the original Cavalcades are back. We loved seeing these dancers dressed in bright colors for the first time since September!
We noticed that while most of the holiday food offerings were gone, a few places still had their goodies available. Sleepy Hollow Refreshments still featured Fa La La La Funnel cake.
Westward Ho also still offered the Chip ‘n’ Dale Christmas Churros. The Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe was the only quick service restaurant still offering its vacation food.
Sunshine Tree Terrace still offered the Orange Bird Christmas, but we also found it available for a day only at Aloha Isle Refreshments. While the Pistachio Chai Tea Float, Aloha Isle’s holiday offering, was already off the menu, we were pleased to see that it had been replaced by the return of a fan favorite, the Kakamora Float. We wasted no time getting one!
We checked the construction progress at the Harper plant and found that existing concrete had been cut. Looks like they’re getting ready to pour some fresh concrete soon.
We stopped by Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. and found a whole range of new Sorcerer Mickey MaDe items available at the kiosk. For more photos and information, see our article here.
Although it was a pretty busy day, it wasn’t too bad compared to last week. This is what Main Street, USA looked like at noon.
We had a great time at Magic Kingdom, but we were super excited to be starting Park Hopping again. Our full guide to getting back from Park Hopping can be found here. At the bus station, the Cast Member scanned our MagicBand to make sure we were able to access the first park before allowing us to queue for the bus to our second desired park.
We park first at Disney Studios in Hollywood. It was so nice to see this classic park still ready for the holidays!
Then we went to EPCOT! It was a whirlwind world tour.
Finally, we drew on Disney’s Animal Kingdom, proving that you can, in fact, park hop in all four parks in one day with this new system. For a full tour of our experience, check out our Park Hopping guide here. For more information on our sparkly pink MagicBand, check out our article here.
While we were at Disney’s Animal Kingdom we found this cool new hat with Mickey Mouse. For more photos and information, see our article here.
We also found this exclusive new Limited Edition Annual Pass holder pin with Simba, priced at $ 17.99.
We ended our day at the Magic Kingdom and got to see Mickey and his friends walking down Main Street USA. We had a great day at Walt Disney World and hope you enjoyed joining us. Have a magical day!
