PHOTOS: Cinderella’s Castle scene stripped of all platforms as 50th anniversary preparations continue at Magic Kingdom

It has been announced that Cinderella’s Castle at the Magic Kingdom will be transformed to celebrate Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary. In preparation for its transformation, shrubs were lined up in front of Cinderella’s Castle and now the scene in front of the park icon has been cleared.

Temporary shrubs are strategically placed to cover the transformation process.

However, the gray canvas is still quite visible.

The stage itself has been cleared, with all platforms demolished.

Left bare, this area is now covered with a gray tarp.

While the stage has been cleared, the moat surrounding Cinderella’s Castle is being drained for even more preparations for the 50th anniversary.
