In a move that came as no surprise to anyone, combative British TV personality Piers Morgan is joining Rupert Murdoch’s team full-time, this time to Fox News.
The new concert is the controversial conservative TV host’s first televised work since he stormed the filming of Hello Great Britain after her co-host rebuffed Morgan’s comments about Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, which many found offensive and racist.
Given Morgan’s history of sharp attacks on women of color as well as general racist, misogynistic and transphobic views, a return to the fold of Rupert Murdoch at Fox News seems perfectly natural.
This has still left much of the internet whining from the moment Morgan announced the move on Twitter.
Morgan is touting his new Fox News show as a “fearless forum for heated debate” that will “celebrate everyone’s right to have an opinion.” It was pretty rich coming from a guy who quit his live job because his co-host debated him with a different opinion.
Either way, if one TV show just isn’t enough for you, Piers Morgan, we’ve got even more wonderful news. Morgan will be downright ubiquitous at several properties owned by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp, the parent company of Fox News.
He will write two weekly columns for the American tabloid New York Post and British tabloid The sun-where he started his media career. Morgan had been an opinion column for the British tabloid The daily mail.
He will also host a series of real-life crime documentaries on a network controlled by Murdoch so far unspecified.
And if you plan to leave the country to avoid all of this, choose wisely. Morgan’s new content will be released in the US, Australia and UK.
At least he’s leaving Canada on his own, eh?

Internet was not so enthusiastic.
Morgan once graced American television screens in 2011 when he picked up the longtime Larry King program. Larry King Live niche on CNN. Morgan’s release notes, Piers Morgan tonight, began to decline immediately after the first episode.
It was canceled in 2014.
Morgan also toured as a reality TV competition judge.
