Air Force pilots practicing in-flight maneuvers accidentally drew a penis-contrail at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona on Tuesday, Air Force officials said.

Officials said Thursday that the pilots involved were simulating air combat and had accidentally created the form of a phallus in the sky, according to CNN.

"We have seen the photos that have been circulating online since Tuesday afternoon, with 56 Wing Chiefs reviewing the flight training cassettes and confirming that the F-35s were performing maneuvers of the aircraft. "Standard hunting training … had resulted in the creation of contrails," a spokesman for the base said.

"There was no harmful or inappropriate behavior during the training flight," said the spokesman.

The Phoenix Fox 10 reported the incident for the first time on Tuesday after a viewer sent photos of Sky Penis.

In 2018, a Marine Corps aircraft trained the male genitals over California. The Marine Corps leadership opened an investigation and disciplined the flight crew for designing the phallus.

In 2017, two marine pilots deliberately drew a penis over California, which prompted their senior officers to take disciplinary action against the artwork.
