You are solely responsible for your comments and by using TribLive.com you agree to our
Terms of use.
We moderate the comments. Our goal is to provide substantive feedback to a general readership. By reviewing submissions, we provide a space where readers can share intelligent, insightful feedback that improves the quality of our news and information.
Although most comments are published on the subject and not abusive, moderation decisions are subjective. We will manufacture them as carefully and systematically as possible. Due to the volume of reader comments, we can not review individual moderation decisions with readers.
We appreciate thoughtful comments representing a range of opinions that assert their point of view quickly and politely. We strive to protect discussions from repeated comments from the same reader or from different readers.
We follow the same standards of taste as the everyday. Some things we will not tolerate: personal attacks, obscenity, vulgarity, profanity (including swearing and letters followed by dashes), commercial promotion, identity theft, incoherence, proselytizing and CRI. Do not include URLs to websites.
We do not edit comments. They are approved or deleted. We reserve the right to modify a comment cited or extracted in an article. In this case, we can correct the spelling and punctuation.
We welcome strong opinions and criticisms of our work, but we do not want comments to get bogged down in discussions about our policies and we will be moderating accordingly.
We appreciate it very much when readers and people quoted in articles or blogs report errors of fact or importance and investigate all assertions. But these suggestions must be sent
by email. To avoid distracting other readers, we will not post comments suggesting a correction. Instead, corrections will be made to a blog post or article.
