As the weekend began, someone updated the Google Store to prematurely reveal the launch of new products for Google. An updated menu listed a "new" Pixel 3a phone, as well as the Google Nest Hub Max. These are two products mentioned above, but the fact that they were added to the store probably means that a launch is imminent.
The lists for Pixel 3a suggested that casings would be available to accessorize this well-thought-out midrange phone line that would include a Pixel 3a XL. Nest Hub Max, on the other hand, may have suggested that the Google Home Hub would be renamed the Google Nest Hub.
The Pixel 3a range, for those who have not yet done so, is the version of Pixel 3 that first appeared last November under the name "Pixel 3 Lite". The specifications were defined at the time. shared shortly thereafter, the phones stopped by the FCC, and then both finally appeared on the Google Play console. Now, with the names displayed in the Google Store, I can not imagine that we will wait much longer to find out how much each customer will be overpriced.
With the Nest Hub Max, you start to feel that Google can change hands and give Nest the essentials for its ambitions for smart home and smart display. We've seen Nest Hub Max leak once on the Google Store, with a 10-inch screen, built-in Nest Cam, and stereo speakers. To see him again is not a shock. What is semi-surprising is the way they have classified the Google Welcome Center as "Google Home / Google Hub Hub", which suggests to me that the name change is imminent.
Why does the name change? It's hard to say. Last year, Google turned to the Nest team to work with the Google hardware team. It could therefore be the first combined effort of these two teams. And to avoid lingering confusion, it would make sense to have two smart display devices under the same Nest brand.
Looking forward to the release of Pixel 3a or these new Nest Hubs?
