Plane crash filmed after Winnie Rice Festival parade

WINNIE, Texas (KTRK) – A festival in a small town was cut short on Saturday morning when a plane crashed into a Chambers County highway, and it was caught on camera.

This happened on Route 124 after the Winnie Rice Festival parade that had taken place, according to the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office.

The small single-engine plane was heading for the airport after the parade when it hung up a light pole and crashed onto the sidewalk, authorities said.

The pilot was not seriously injured and no one else on the ground was injured, the sheriff’s office said.
