Planning permissions for the new facility will be requested this month and the team hopes to start building later in the year.

It is planned to complete the construction in time for the Formula 1 season 2021.

The images were revealed exclusively this month. F1 racing magazine, put on sale on April 4th.

"This is a new chapter, at the dawn of a new era, and shareholders have enormous energy to invest and help the team become a podium contender in the future," Otmar Szafnauer said. , director of the Racing Point team.

"The team has never been more stable or in better hands and this project aims to attract and retain the best staff of Formula 1."

The current Racing Point factory is located across the gate from the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit, covering an area of three acres.

It was originally built for the Formula 1 Jordanian training in 1991 and has since hosted the different versions of the team, including Midland, Spyker and Force India.

But the factory has long since surpassed the workforce required for a modern F1 organization and has a critical need for redevelopment.

Over the past decade, Force India's strength has increased significantly. Last August, when Racing Point took over, the workforce grew from 280 to 280 people in 2009.

Since then, the team has added another 20 employees and plans to increase staff by 180 more over the next two years, in anticipation of an ambitious performance.

When the consortium, led by Canadian billionaire Lawrence Stroll, took control of Force India this summer, one of the priorities was to develop the Dadford Road base.

Since then, an agreement has been reached for the purchase of land around the site to increase the size of the 30-acre Racing Point HQ.

There is a redevelopment of the site in two stages, the first phase is already underway.

At present, there are 125 employees in Brackley, but they are being transferred to Dadford Road, where the leased staff are renting accommodations in Portakabins in the car parks around the plant.

A warehouse is also rented for simulator operations room and team operations in industrial units near their current base.

The modus operandi of the team has been to outsource much of the construction of its chassis, but the project of the new facility is to create a center of excellence for manufacturing to allow the construction of cars internally.

The relationship between the staff of the design office and the manufacturing staff will be determined by the composition of the 2021 by-law – which has not yet been finalized by the governing body of sport.

"Our new facility will be able to accommodate the expansion we have planned to increase the workforce to around 600 people," said Szafnauer. F1 race.

"We need everyone under one roof, we want to increase our production, create a beautiful canteen, offices, meeting rooms and a gym for our employees – all we do not have for the moment.

"But we do not expect it to be too opulent – we still need to retain our DNA and the ethos of our runner, so that it is specifically designed for performance."

The modernization projects of the plant to make it a new and state-of-the-art sustainable building testify to Stroll's long-term commitment to the sport and drive the economy of the Motorsport Valley around Silverstone and the United Kingdom, especially in uncertain areas. The political landscape.
