A number of Apex Legends players have reported a drop in frame rates since the last update released earlier this week.
"It seems that some people playing on a PC, including myself, have experienced a significant decline in performance since the 19th," said a speaker on the subtitle Apex Legends. "Some say it comes from anti-cheat, other than the new update that adds the Crypto stuff. What ever, I do not think we can anything do it, so all that's left is waiting for a fix.
"It would be very appreciated if you could follow this link and click on" me too "to show how many people are really affected by this," they added. "Who knows, maybe they'll do something about it a little faster."
"I also noticed that, it happened right after the patch, and then he left after two days without me doing anything," added another commentator. "Now that he's back, I can not get more than 45 FPS in certain areas while I'm at 85 FPS everywhere I have no idea what's going on."
"September 13 patch really crippled[d] My performance: constant constant texture of 144 frames per second and all that is low, constantly stammering at 80 frames per second at very low texture, even in an empty area like a swamp or a water treatment " said another troubled legend.
Others also complain of "stuttering slow motion".
"When the server melts, it creates a kind of slow stuttering that can vary in intensity," said one player. "These past two days, stuttering has been quiet, very minor, but the people I play with have also noticed."
Interestingly, it does not seem that only PC players are affected. "This is also happening on the Xbox," said one answer, while another added, "The PS4 also, some random images disappear."
To this day, Respawn has not officially responded to the complaints.
Respawn recently announced Season 3 of Apex Legends: Meltdown will begin Oct. 1, bringing the new Legend, a new Battle Pass and Series 2 of the rated game, confirming many leaks we've seen up to # 39, now. The next legend will indeed Crypto and the new season will add a new weapon – the load rifle – that was leaked at a GameStop conference last month.
As expected in the datamines, Crypto's capabilities will involve the deployment of "specialized surveillance drones to stay in combat and stay out of sight". Respawn also provided a legendary trailer for the character, as part of the series "Stories from the Outlands", to give an overview of some legends.
