PlayStation Network outage affects some games

[ad_1]

Just one day after a massive Xbox Live outage, Sony’s PlayStation Network has been struggling for several hours. The problem for this is a little different and based on reports may only affect some games. Sony’s PSN status page states that “You might have difficulty launching games, apps, or network features” on platforms such as PS Vita, PS3, PS4, and PS5.

Some people have had problems trying to play online Call of Duty: Warzone or Minecraft, while other games like Fortnite seem accessible. When I tried to access a few games on my PS5, Fall guys worked, but Call of Duty and AllStars Destruction could not connect to matchmaking. The service status page says this issue started around 6:33 p.m. ET, but online gamers noted issues several hours ago and a glance at DownDetector shows reports of issues going back as early as 1 p.m. ET. . At least in this case, it looks like most people won’t have to log out to try and play their games, and might just have to change titles until that’s resolved.

Platforms Affected: PS Vita, PS3, PS4, PS5 Affected Services: You may have difficulty launching games, applications, or network features. We do our best to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.
