PlayStation is reportedly losing one of its biggest exclusive games this year. Last year was a big year for PS4 exclusives. For example, Ghost of Tsushima, The Last of Us Part II, and 5 Person Royal all released last year. Final Fantasy VII remake Also released last year as a PS4 exclusive, and in 2021 it will apparently arrive on PS5 and it will apparently no longer be PlayStation exclusive, as it will also arrive on PC this year.
The report comes in the style of a Reset Era user and insider KatharsisT, who doesn’t reveal much but claims Square Enix will announce the game will arrive on PS5 this year. And that makes sense. Of course it is. However, the rumor does not end there. He adds that the PS5 version will be announced alongside a PC version. Now, that may come as a surprise to some, but rumors and leaks in the past have not only suggested that the critically acclaimed RPG is coming to PC, but also to Xbox consoles. That said, at the moment, the aforementioned insider doesn’t mention Xbox.
Unfortunately, this is where the details end, and it’s important to remember that anything disclosed here is of the unofficial variety and therefore should be taken with a grain of salt. While many have confidence in the source in question, there have been instances where they got it wrong, which to some extent is part of being a runaway and an insider.
As you may recall, last year’s PC code was found in the game’s demo files, while one of the game’s trailers contained footage of PC gameplay. There might be nothing to it, but combined and then combined with this rumor again is enough evidence to suggest something is happening. After all, where there is smoke, there is usually fire.
At the time of publication, Square Enix has not commented on this news. Final Fantasy VII remake rumor, and it’s unlikely to be the case, but if it does, we’ll be sure to update the post accordingly.
