PlayStation Studios update has bad news for Bloodborne fans

A recent update from PlayStation Studios revealed some bad news for those who might have hoped to see a return for Transmitted by blood on PlayStation 5. While the iconic action game first released in 2015 may end up returning as a new remaster or remake on PS5 in the future, it looks like the studio has been expecting many to expect. to work on such a project is currently busy with other things.

Over the past day, Sony revealed that it has officially purchased developer Bluepoint Games, an acquisition that many believe will happen at one point or another. In the past, Bluepoint has had a close relationship with PlayStation and has worked on projects such as Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, the PS4 remaster of Shadow of the colossus, and more recently, the PS5 remake of Demon souls. Bluepoint is also a studio rumored to be working on a new remaster of Transmitted by blood. However, considering what the developer has now said following its acquisition, that doesn’t seem to be in the cards anymore.

Bluepoint revealed after his addition to PlayStation Studios that he is now working on a totally original project. This means that any sort of remaster or remake, which the company was known for in the past, is not in development at this time. As such, this revelation also apparently kills any rumors that suggest Bluepoint is working on a Transmitted by blood remaster.

Yet even though this news may disappoint those who want to see Transmitted by blood to come back in any way does not mean that all hope should be lost. Even though Bluepoint is not the studio working on a Transmitted by blood remaster at this point, maybe Sony has handed the project over to another developer. As such, there is always a chance that we may see the beloved action title return at some point in the future.

Do you think we will always have a new version of Transmitted by blood on PlayStation 5? And if Bluepoint isn’t working on such a project, which studio do you think you are? Let me know either in the comments or hit me up on Twitter at @ Mooreman12.
