PlayStation unveils the state of its game flow and announces new games

By releasing a page from Nintendo's reading book, Sony has announced State of Play, a "new video program" that will provide viewers with updates and announcements from the PlayStation world. The first episode will air on March 25 at 2:00 pm, Paris time / 5:00 pm, New York time / 9:00 pm GMT / at 8:00 am, Eastern time, March 26th.

According to an article on the PlayStation blog, the episode "will feature future PS4 and PS VR software, including new movie trailers, new game ads, and new gameplay." The show will be available on Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and, of course, on GameSpot.

Sony says that State of Play will come back throughout the year with more updates and announcements. The confirmation of this series of Nintendo Direct style events will no doubt appeal to PlayStation fans, especially as the company has confirmed that it will not participate in E3 in 2019.

"As the industry evolves, Sony Interactive Entertainment continues to look for creative ways to engage the community," said the company, explaining its decision not to attend the annual show. "PlayStation fans represent the world for us and we always want to innovate, think differently and experiment with new ways to delight the players, so we decided not to participate in E3 in 2019. We are exploring new and familiar ways to participate in our community in 2019 and we look forward to sharing our projects with you. "

It seems that State of Play is one of the new and familiar ways Sony plans to engage the PlayStation community. Although it has not described in detail the games that it could present, a number of PlayStation headlines are currently being published. Naughty Dog is working on The Last of Us 2, Sucker Punch has Ghost of Tsushima, Media Molecule builds Dreams and the launch of Sony Bend's Days Gone is scheduled for April.
