Pokemon Coco was just one of many anime movies that have been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, but anime support has started to slowly recover and the next film in the popular Pokemon franchise has revealed a new trailer for the English version of the film. which will be released in North America in 2021. With this new trailer comes a whole new name for the film in the West, with Pokemon Coco being renamed Pokemon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle, who will explore the legendary new pocket monster Zarude and the mysterious Savage Child!
The upcoming feature will be the twenty-third entry in the Pokemon franchise, and while it is slated to hit theaters in Japan, whether or not it will make it in North America remains to be resolved. Earlier this year, Pokemon Metwo Strikes Back Evolution, the narrative of the first Pokemon movie using computer-generated animation, aired on the Netflix streaming service, alongside the final season of the TV series. We could definitely see the same happen with this upcoming jungle adventure, featuring Ash Ketchum meeting a strange boy who has taken on the characteristics of the Pokemon in the jungle!
Pokemon shared the all-new English Dub trailer via its official Twitter account, giving us some new footage as well as the new title the film will use for its next North American release which is slated to arrive next year in 2021:

Zarude, the all-new Legendary Pokémon from this twenty-third film in the series, is a terrifying ape who clearly has an attachment to this enigmatic boy who seems to take a page from Tarzan. With other franchise entries like Pokemon Go heralding Zarude’s arrival, it’ll be interesting to see if that primate makes its way to the main animated TV series as well!
