Pokémon gets a new cloud service and a game where you play while sleeping

At an event presented as "an overview of the future of Pokémon"Today, Pokémon has unveiled many new experiences, including a new robust cloud service and a plan to turn sleep into entertainment.

For starters, there is a new game launched in 2020 called Pokémon Sleep, where your sleep will have an impact on the gameplay. According to the company, the goal is to give players a reason to stand up impatiently. The company has also partnered with Nintendo on a new sleep tracking device called Pokémon Go Plus +, which will connect to the popular mobile game, which will itself receive gameplay updates designed for sleep and rest. Apart from that, there are still not many details about the device, nor about the game itself.

The cloud service calls Pokémon Home and allows users to collect all monsters captured from various games in one place. Launched early 2020 for iOS, Android and Switch, it will connect to a wide range of Pokémon titles including Pokemon Go, Pokémon Let's go, the next Sword and Shieldand the previous 3DS cloud platform, Pokémon Bank. You will be able to use it not only to manage your caught pokemon, but also for trading.

A new version of Detective Pikachu, the Nintendo 3DS game that inspired the film, arrives at the Switch.
