Pokémon Go Entei Raid Guide: pawns, best sets and more

Entei returns to Pokemon Go raids on July 14th from 4pm until 7pm in your local time.

The legendary fire dog is not the best assailant in the world, being overtaken by Blaziken, Moltres and Charizard, but it's always worth the chance, especially if you miss the Community Days.

The return of Entei also means that you can acquire Brilliant if you are lucky.

Entei is weak against water, soil and rock movements, so stay with those who face it. The best meters are:

• Kyogre with waterfall and hydraulic pump
• Tyranitar with Smack Down and Stone Edge
• Garchomp with Mud Shot and earthquake
• Rhyperior with Smack Down and Stone Edge

Vaporeon, Groudon and fully evolved water starters will also do the job pretty well if you do not miss any of the absolute units we have listed above.

Entei does his best with Fire Spin and Overheat. You can use one of these movements with its other quick and dependent movements, Fire Fang and Flamethrower, but its combined use makes Entei less effective. Fire Blast and Iron Head are not so great.
