Pokémon Go Machop Community Day Guide: Start Times & Best Moves

[ad_1]

Pokémon GoMachop Community Day is January 16 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at your local time.

As usual with Community Days, the featured Pokémon will appear a lot in the wild, with a good chance it will be shiny.

How to get a Shiny Machop?

Since Machop will appear everywhere, just tap on every Machop you see until you get a shiny one. You’ll find one sooner or later, as the Community Days shine rate is increased to around one in 24.

What special movement does Machamp learn when he evolves?

When he plays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on January 16, Machamp will learn Payback. This dark-type move will not affect Machamp’s raid skill, but will have some uses in PvP.

How to make the most of this community day?

Machop’s Community Day has a bonus that triples the Stardust received from catching Pokémon, so it will be worth it to pop a Star Piece when you catch the Pokémon to increase your winnings even more.

The trading range will also be increased to 40 kilometers from January 15 to January 18. Trade with any friend within this distance to get rid of the 100 candy requirement to evolve Machoke into Machamp. Any Machoke you trade will be able to evolve without using candy, which is a big plus for anyone trying to put together a beefy Machamp team.

Machamp is best tuned with Counter and Dynamic punch to take gyms and raids. Scavenge can be a good choice for PvP, as it will give it a good type match against ghost-type Pokémon.

If you decide which Shiny Machop to evolve at the end of the day, try using one of the new search strings. Sort your “mons by”recent“Using the icon at the bottom right, then type”4 *»In the search box at the top. This will let you know if you have a 100% Machop IV. Most people won’t be that lucky, so then you’ll want to type “3 *”In the search box, which will show you all recent mons of 80% or more. Rate them to see which one is better, then evolve your new buddy!
