Pokémon Go player becomes first in the world to reach level 50

Pokémon Go Now has their first level 50 trainer, a feat that requires hard work and dedication.

FleeceKing streamed their level on Monday via Twitch, posing as the game’s first level 50 player, along with another trainer, Lauren Bertoni, followed soon after. Bertoni and FleeceKing are both from Australia.

Niantic increased Pokémon GoThe level cap of 40-50 in December 2020, although the requirements to level up included more than just earning XP. Worker Pokemon Go players have to complete tasks to level up, some of which are time limited. A handful of players recently reached level 48, and as they climbed to 49, their progress was reset. To address this issue, Niantic boosted affected players, completing their tasks and upgrading them to level 49.

To reach 50 levels in the final day, FleeceKing and Bertoni had to make 999 excellent throws, catch five Legendary Pokémon, and take out three Team Go Rocket Leaders using Pokémon with 2,500 CP or less. Not all of these tasks are to be laughed at, so their hard work has definitely paid off.
