Pokemon Go Fest 2021 Day 2 is underway, and weird new Special Research Rings are now live.
The Strange Rings Special Research is for the Mythical Pokémon Hoopa, but unfortunately Hoopa will not be available to catch during the Go Fest 2021 event.
The Strange Rings Special Research is a 2-step research and you can find all of the tasks and rewards below.
Strange Rings Research Stages, Tasks, and Rewards
Strange Rings Step 1
- Transfer 20 Pokémon: Max Potion x5
- Take 2 snapshots: x3 RazzBerry
- Fight in 3 raids: x3 Max Revive
- Rewards: 5,000 XP, x1 Lucky Egg, and x2,000 Stardust
Strange Rings Step 2
- Win 5 raids: x5 Max Revive
- Make 5 great throws: x3 Silver Pinap Berry
- Catch 20 different species of Pokémon: x3 Max Revive
- Rewards: x10,000 XP, x3 Silver Pinap Berry and x3,000 Stardust

I had just walked around and witnessed the most incredible sight. Several rings had appeared in the sky, and as I looked at them, something really remarkable happened.
Legendary Pokémon began to magically emerge from the rings!
Naturally, I rushed into my lab and started frantically searching through every book that I thought could shed light on what had happened, but still couldn’t find anything.

I was somewhat lucky in my search for explanations, however. Look here, it’s the Mythical Pokémon Hoopa.
Known as the Mischievous Pokémon, Hoopa enjoys sending objects to faraway places using his rings, which can warp space.
