In February 2020, The Pokemon Company revealed Zarude, a new Mythical Pokemon about to come. Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield at some point in the future.
At the time, The Pokemon Company stated that players would not be able to meet Zarude through normal gameplay, but that also didn’t reveal exactly how players might encounter him. However, now we know.
Zarude will be offered to all players who sign up for the Pokemon Trainer Club e-newsletter by November 20, 2020, as well as players who have already subscribed. Subscribers will receive an email on December 11, 2020 containing a code that they can redeem for their free Zarude by Pokemon Sword or Pokemon Shield.
To sign up for the Pokemon Trainer Club email newsletter, go to the Pokemon Trainer Club website. Now you will either need to register for an account or log in to an existing account.
If you need to create a new account, you can sign up for the email newsletter during the account creation process. When you check this box, you are signing up for the Pokemon Trainer Club newsletter to receive your free code for Zarude!
If you already have an account, once logged in you can ensure that you have subscribed to the newsletter by clicking on “Edit Profile” on the left side of the screen.
