Pokemon Sword and Shield Bug sends Snorlax flying through the air

A particularly funny Pokemon Shield A bug that made the rounds online this week sent Snorlax flying through the air and far, making it a usual sight for such a large Pokemon. The bug is not the one that players would normally find in the game as it occurred in a hacked version of Pokemon Shield which made it even rarer and much better now that we’ve seen it.

The bug in question was shown on social media by a Twitter user octozeppelin who shared the clip below showing Snorlax in flight. The player crossed a bridge only to have a Snorlax float beside them without being encumbered by the enormous weight the Pokemon is generally known for. When asked by another user if the Pokemon was okay, the original poster responded with another clip showing Snorlax flying away.

Naturally, the scene spawned all kinds of edits from people working music and other animation into whatever clip best suited it. All of this combined with the video itself made the clip quite popular, viewed over 1.6 million times on Twitter at the time of its publication.

If you are looking for a Flying Snorlax in your game now after watching this clip, you might be disappointed to learn that you are unlikely to find one. The bug shown in the video above did not occur during normal playback of Pokemon Shield and was instead experimented with in a hacked version of the game. The user who shared the video said that he was playing with a random hack that made Pokemon appear outside of their normal environment and location and added that this is n isn’t the first thing they’ve seen go wrong in a funny way.

News on the Pokemon Sword and Shield before has been quiet lately after the release of the Crown tundra DLC that was made available not long ago but the games have been updated this month for players to download. A new trailer was also released recently to show off some of the Pokémon players you’ve come across in the Galar region, but if you’ve been playing the games for a while, you’ve probably met some if not all of them. .
