Pokémon Sword and Shield could have an automatic save function

Eagle-Eyed fans may have discovered a new feature added to Pokemon Sword and Shield in the last trailer.

In the Nintendo Direct trailer at the 45-second mark, just as the trainer enters the store, a message "In the process of saving …" appears briefly at the top right of the screen. This has led many people to believe that Sword and shield could be an automatic save function in the game.

Of course, the movie might appear soon after the player has saved the game, in the same way that other games have worked in the past, but the fact that the message says "Save Now" would be a strange word for this situation.

Although automatic backup is the norm in most games, this would be the first time that the kernel Pokémon RPG has implemented this feature, the series relying on manual backups over the last two decades.

The inclusion of automatic backups also brings a list of problems for Pokémon players, especially those who like to reset their games during a brilliant hunt or looking for Pokémon with specific natures. The game could, in theory, be saved during or after the game, forcing a player to reset his progress.

If included, most of these players hope that automatic backup is an optional feature and not a constraint imposed on them.
