Nintendo and The Pokémon Company to Unveil New Information on the Next Game of the Franchise Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield for Switch, in a new presentation of Pokémon Direct on Wednesday, June 5th. The Nintendo Direct style presentation will be broadcast at 9am ET / 6am and will include "about 15 minutes of new information" on Pokemon Sword and Shield.
Pokemon Sword and Shield is located in the new Galar region, inspired by the UK, and will introduce the eighth generation Pokémon series into the series. These new Pokémon include Sword and ShieldGrookey, Scorbunny and Sobble, which will be part of a new story.
Beyond that, little has been revealed about the upcoming Pokémon games, but we hope to learn more about new starters, moves, coaches and evolutions, and get an official release date in Pokémon Direct.
Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield should be released Switch in 2019. Nintendo and The Pokémon Company unveiled for the first time Sword and Shield in February during a presentation dedicated to Nintendo Direct.
