Some Pokémon thrive by jumping straight into battle and dealing as much damage as possible. Others prefer to sit on the sidelines, offering support through stat boosts, healing, and other perks while disrupting opponents’ plans. If the latter is more your style, the Supporter type in Pokemon Unite is for you. These Pokémon don’t focus so much on KO’s and Goals as on making sure their allies stay strong and healthy as the match progresses. The Supporter type is a unique but rewarding way to play, so check out our tips on becoming the best ally you can be.
Eldegoss
Fan classes take some getting used to, but Eldegoss is a great support for beginners. Its synthesis and pollen puff moves are fantastic for healing, while the cotton spore is a great disruptive move later in the game. Leaf Tornado is available for Eldegoss if he needs to deal damage, and the Pollen Aforementioned Puff damages opponents while healing, but this Pokémon is much better to linger and wait for an opportunity. Supporters are never expected to rush headlong into battle, preferring to stay behind while healing and waiting for the right moment to abandon this disruptive move. For Eldegoss, he’s got a lot of moves in his arsenal to be that disruption.

Mr. Mime
Mr. Mime is unique even as Supporters, having the ability to create barriers that obstruct an opponent’s path. Strategic use of these walls in the early parts of a match can send cattle to enemies directly into the barrage of an attacking and waiting Speedster, scoring easy knockouts. At the end of the game, however, Mr. Mime’s Guard Swap is the main event. Between the quick swap of defensive stats, the ability to level up allies with movement, and his psychic attack focusing on opponents who have undergone a guard swap, he quickly becomes the most important move in Mr. Mime’s repertoire. . You won’t do much damage with this manic mime, but you will create the way to victory for your team.

Wigglytuff
Wigglytuff’s melee musical skills provide a ton of support for a Pokemon Unite team. His Defense Curl / Rollout can throw an opponent into the air and disrupt their attack pattern, while Pound / Double Slap unleashes multiple quick hits that reduce an opponent’s speed. Her passive skill, Cute Charm, can be used as an effective tool to lure enemies into an allied ambush, as it forces an opponent at close range to come to Wigglytuff after attacking. Make sure to save his Unite Move, Starlight Recital, until Wigglytuff is surrounded by allies, as the buffs and shields he provides will add a lot of protection to the entire team as they launch out into a battle. Wigglytuff won’t deal a ton of damage with his attacks, but where he lacks power, he compensates with defensive boosts for the whole team.
