The Pokémon Company has revealed that Pokémon Unite, a free entry in the upcoming console and mobile series, will launch for Nintendo Switch on July 21.
A new trailer has been released to celebrate the occasion (see above), and it has also been confirmed that players can get their hands on the Mythical Pokémon Zeraora simply by logging into the game before August 31. Zeraora will also be available for mobile-only players at a later date.
The game takes place on the island of Aeos, a mythical island that is said to be on the unexplored frontier of the ocean. There, players will find the Unite Battle Committee (UBC), which hosts a series of Unite Battle tournaments. These battles allow players to form teams of five and compete against each other to see who can score the most points before the time runs out. You will also come across a mysterious new form of energy known as Aeos energy which can be used in Unite Battles to evolve Pokémon.
After the game launches on Switch, Unite will hit mobile stores in September; it will be free on both platforms and cross-platform play is planned as well.
Are you going to try this one next week?
