The president who prepared the amendment to the Supreme Court Act and lowered the retirement age from 70 to 65 years, failed to implement the assumption the more important – the removal of the first president of prof. Margaret Gersdorf. Duda was ready to interrupt his six-year term guaranteed by the constitution. But Gersdorf herself – and with her 63 SN judges – decided that she would be the president until 2020 and that can not be changed by law.
On Wednesday and Thursday the first president was at work and fulfilled his previous duties. We already know that he will not leave the SN voluntarily. She also secured the court in case they wanted to remove her by force. On Tuesday, in the ordinance, she indicated that in her absence she could be replaced by the president of the Chamber of Labor, Józef Iwulski.
