The Polish electric motorbike, LEM Thunder, will compete in the world's toughest enduro rally: Dakar. Jednoślad is the work of students of the Scientific Circle of Vehicles and Mobile Robots of the Wrocław University of Technology
The LEM series are electric motorcycles built on the basis of specific operational needs. Students from the Scientific Circle of Vehicles and Mobile Robots at the Wroclaw University of Technology have already built several of these vehicles – the most famous, Lem Bullet, took a high position in the Smart Moto Challenge
. world – Dakar. Thanks to the very favorable power ratio (40 hp) by weight (120 kg), Thunder has the opportunity to compete on difficult rally roads. Such a low mass has been achieved through the use of 3D printing and carbon fiber.
The range of the motorcycle is about 90 km at 120 km / h. LEM Thunder, however, has a well thought out quick battery change system, which means that after the first one runs out, you can continue your drive a few seconds later.
LEM Thunder will participate in the next edition of the SmartMoto Challenge, which will take place from 16 to 22 July in Barcelona. The start of the Dakar Rally is scheduled for the beginning of next year.
