Surprising presence of Pawlikowski's film. "Cold War" better than "Han Solo"

There is no end to the impressive series of "Cold War". After the sixth weekend on the screens, the winner of the Oscar winners Oscar winner Paweł Pawlikowski, can boast of a result almost unattainable for artistic productions. The current presence of the film is exactly 641,330 spectators. That's more than the result obtained on Polish screens by the blockbuster Disney "Han Solo: Star Wars – Stories."

"Cold War" is a film in which Cosenzo fell in love and now the Polish public already promises to be global phenomenon. Cold War rights have been sold to an impressive number of territories, including North America (United States and Canada), Europe (Great Britain, France, Benelux, Germany, Italy, Greece, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Czech Republic), Scandinavia, Turkey), Asia (China, Japan, South Korea) and Australia and New Zealand.

Amazon, the American distributor of the film, announced some time ago that the "Cold War" will take place at the end of December. It is at this time that theaters in the United States are entering titles considered to have won Oscars. In the list of favorites for the Oscars published on The Playlist, Polish Cold War was in all main categories: best director, best foreign language, best actress (Joanna Kulig) and even the best film. If these assumptions prove true and Pawlikowski's film will be nominated in the main categories, this will be one of the few cases in the history of the Oscars.

"Cold War" tells the difficult love of two people who can not live one without the other. they can be together. The events presented in the film take place in the 1950s and 1960s, in Poland and Europe, and there is a unique soundtrack, a combination of Polish folk music and jazz and Parisian bar songs from the last century.

The world premiere of "Cold War" took place at the 71st Cannes Film Festival. The first demonstration sparked public euphoria, bringing tears of emotion to Julianne Moore, congratulations from Benicio del Toro and a standing ovation of twenty minutes. The result is also a series of very positive reviews, comparing Polish production to "La La Land" and "Casablanca". The crowning glory of the film's success at the world's biggest film event was the Paweł Pawlikowski Award for Best Director.
