As part of a new series of videos, NASA's retired astronaut, Scott Kelly, discovered life in the space, "Star Trek" and a ball d & # 39; Scary urine.
Kelly appeared today (July 18) in the first video of a digital series developed by Biography at A + E Networks and Reddit. The series aims to bring Reddit AMA (short for "ask me anything") to life with intimate interviews and captivating footage. The AMA series from Reddit features famous personalities or people in interesting situations answering questions from commentators on the platform.
The video begins with a question for Kelly who historically divides science fiction fans: "Star Wars" or "Star Trek"? In true AMA style, Kelly has answered a wide variety of questions. When asked to name the scariest thing he encountered while working on the space station, he replied, "a gallon-sized urine ball." mixed with acid "that he had to clean. "Essentially," Kelly added, "it's sulfuric acid mixed with urine – this keeps the toilets from clogging."
Kelly also deepened her question and recounted how time spent in space changed. He described his space experiences, from when he launched and thought, "Wow, I'm just ready to do the coolest thing I've ever done And, by the way, I could get killed . " The astronaut also discussed how his experiences in the space gave him a new perspective, or "a feeling of empathy towards the environment and the human condition".
