"Good change": a cinematographic image of divided Poland

[ad_1]

Two heroines – Marta and Tita – are like two faces of Poland torn apart by political disputes. The two women are patriots, but for each concept, they have a different color. For Marta – national-religious, for Tito – European and liberal. The first – supports the actions of the ruling party, believes in the promises of the PiS of "repair of Poland", the second – protests against the current government's policy, believes that the country is dismantling democracy.

In the film, we will see well-known scenes from media sources: the Smolensk monthly, anti-government demonstrations, military formations, animated discussions in the Gazeta Polska clubs. The film crew accompanied the two heroines for several months. The camera followed their social activity, the changes that took place in their lives. The creators of the film emphasize that they do not judge the characters, but only follow them. They want to understand how it is possible for two women living in the same country to be so different from each other.

– This is the first film devoted to "a good change" – says Konrad Szołajski in an interview with Kultura Onet. – Today, paradoxically, there are fewer tracks documenting and trying to analyze what is going on around us. Almost everyone has a smartphone in his pocket, that he can film, there are a lot of materials on the Internet, but they do not really talk about what really interests us. Or at least it should. After all, it's not just flashing photos, but the answer to the question: what's going on with Poland, the Poles, anno domini 2018? Why are they so different? Are they still able to communicate?

"Good change" – picture from the film

What was the most difficult during the photos? – Contrary to appearances, there is no lack of resources, but what is typical of the document: find heroes who understand what we want to do and agree to appear in the film . Interestingly, the resistance was on both sides, because today there is widespread mistrust in Poland and the fear that "somebody is using it". Fortunately, we managed to find people who – although having different fears – cooperated with us fairly. Their trust was necessary for the commitment to take effect – adds the director.

The images for the film "Good change" are finished, the work on the document has entered the post-production phase. Additional funds are needed for this step, which is why public collection has begun.

– This is an offer for people who want to be able to decide for themselves what they are going to watch. We omit the officials, the editors, the directors and all the governors who usurp the right to control our conscience, treat us like unruly children. We suggest that adults can talk to each other without supervision about chaperones and censors – explains Szołajski.

The money from the public collection will be used for color correction and online editing, sound and music in the 5.1 system, music composition, graphic identification of the film, salary of the crew and the preparation of the cinema. .
