With possible worlds, the documentary series "Cosmos" will explore extraterrestrial life

Four years ago, the resurrection of the iconic documentary series Cosmos which saw astrophysicist Neil DeGrasse Tyson take on the role of popularizer formerly owned by his learned elder Carl Sagan, remembered that sometimes, strange it may seem that a remake of a series can give great results – we promise you, it is always exceptional. We reveled in sumptuous planetary plans, told through the quiet voice of the astrophysicist, not noticing the passage of time, with a sandwich in our hands, drinking in the history of the solar system. Good news for fans of astrophysics: next year, Cosmos will return to our screens with Possible Worlds, a new season filmed at the frontiers of knowledge.

At the beginning of this year, Fox gave us the shortest glimpse of the upcoming season, leaving us wanting a lot, a lot more. Several months later, the network revealed an appropriate trailer for Possible Worlds, which promised to take traditional science explorers out of their comfort zone. Unlike the original series and its remake, this new season will be highly speculative, reflecting on the possibilities of extraterrestrial life, making us dream of plans of colonization of the solar system and pushing the science until the hypothetical "paradoxical realities " – without crossing the border into the scientific WTF, we hope.

Meanwhile, the network also hinted that Possible Worlds will once again bring together the infinitely big and the infinitely small (one of the themes of the original program), for instance by exploring the butterfly wings functioning. Finally, the show will take a meta turn, hagiographic watching the first years of … Carl Sagan, the wonderful astrophysical popularizer and first presenter of the series.
