July was not the happiest for OKD

A Polish miner working in the ČSM mine in Stonava died. According to the spokesman of OKD, Ivo Čelechovský, on July 26, shortly before noon. 7:00 pm, the dispatcher of the mine accepted the notification about the discomfort of one of the employees employed downstairs. A team of rescuers from the main Ostrava mining rescue station was immediately directed to the excavation where the miner was housed. Unfortunately, the doctor arrived and found the death of the employee.

The doctor also performed a general examination of his body. It did not wear – as indicated – the outward signs of an accident. The reason for the death of the Poles will now be examined by the commission established by the Regional Office of Mines in Ostrava, consisting of inspectors of this office, the direction of OKD, the trade unions, the police forces and representatives of Alpex. The OKD leadership has expressed its condolences to the family of the deceased
