Wednesday, August 1 marks the 74th anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising. Again in Warsaw and in many cities of Poland 17 sirens of alarm will be heard, the church bells will be killed and the traffic of the streets will stop, candles will be lit under the plates and flowers will be placed. In the capital, as usual, a rich program of celebrations is planned, in which there will be religious accents, not only with flowers, but also with the prayer to commemorate the dead and the soldiers of the thrust of Before 74 years old. July 29
The commemoration of this year's 74th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising will begin Sunday at the Warsaw Uprising Museum. At 12 Warsaw insurgents will attend a meeting with the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda and the President of Warsaw's capital Warsaw Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz. During this meeting there will be, among others granting state decorations by the president.

On the eve of the Warsaw Uprising 10 in the ballroom at the Royal Castle will be held a solemn session of the Warsaw City Council.

That day, 74 years earlier, the Wola massacre began. In the following days, more than 30,000 civilians lost their lives. It is also the anniversary of the liberation of the concentration camp "Gęsiówka" by soldiers of the battalion "Zośka". The celebrations commemorating this ceremony will begin at 14 at ul. Anielewicza 34.
Whereas at 18 in place of memory at the fork of ul. Leszno et al. Solidarity will pay tribute to the civilian population of Wola at the Memorial of the 50,000 Willers murdered by the Germans during the Warsaw uprising in 1944.
