Monday at Amberexpo in Gdansk, the Polish Gault & Millau awards were handed out for the fifth time. Not only the best Polish chefs have been distinguished, but the 2019 yearbook has also been created.

The G & M guide, next to Michelin, is one of the most prestigious and critical restaurants. The scoring system is based on points and ceilings. In the guide, some restaurants earned at least 10 out of 20 points when evaluating guide inspectors. Then the result is converted into hats: 20-19 points are 5 hats, 18-17 are 4 hats, 16-15 are 3 hats, 14-13 are 2 hats, 12-11 are 1 hats.
For the first time in the guide, there are also places marked with the POP icon. These are recommendations for cafes, confectioneries, cocktail bars or street food, characterized by an atmosphere and tasty cuisine. In total, there are 60 premises in Poznań, more than 20 in comparison with the previous year.
