Stores have new ideas to circumvent the Sunday trade ban

The draft amendment to the law was submitted to the Sejm on Tuesday, 20 November. The petitioners' representative is Janusz Śniadek MP, President of NSZZ "Solidarność" from 2002 to 2010, member of Sejm of 7th and 8th terms. The project assumes that post offices can not be open on non-business days. This is the response of deputies to the abka stores, which received mostly customers every Sunday.

– Such a clarification of the provision is necessary and expected by the company because of the practice of applying this provision in the current wording – we read in the amendment to the law.

Solidarity wants to tighten the rules so that the stores can not celebrate them. It will be a very difficult task, however.

– I've heard that one of the chains, which constantly combines, will open coffee points in the stores, so it will be called "coffee" – said Alfred Bujara, head of the section of NSZZ "Solidarność" in the program "Money Matters". The words are also quoted by dlahandlu.pl.
