Robert Biedroń has resigned from the councilor's mandate. Critical opposition

Politicians accuse Robert Biedroń of misleading voters. He participated in the local elections and won the Slupsk councilor's seat. Now he returns it and goes to Poland with a new political project. He wants to be alone for the next elections, without a coalition.

Robert Biedroń and Słupsk finally say goodbye. A former parliamentarian and the city president renounced the newly acquired advisory mandate. – I took care of the national traffic – he explains.

According to Beata Chrzanowska, chairman of Slupsk City Council, Biedron "would have defeated 2,700 voters in the town of Słupsk".

Until recently, he had stated that he would fight for Słupsk, although it is now on the city council. Today, he argues that he has not misled voters and has long said that he would like to go to Poland.

– This concerns people who vote for their representatives at the town hall, the European Parliament or the Sejm. If someone does not want to assume the mandate, he should say so – says Sławomir Neumann of the Civic Platform.

Biedroń says his debut in local elections was essential. – I had to be sure to introduce my team – he explained.

– Does this advisor count so much? – reflects Barbara Nowacka from the Polish Initiative. – Could not this man face it alone? I think you must also trust your people – he says.

"I will not keep the mandate just to stay on the stool"

The results of the elections show that Robert Biedroń loses above all the Coalition of citizens.

If this were not the beginning of former President Słupsk, the composition of the council would be completely different today. "He could say that he would not take that mandate," Neumann said.

For the moment, it is not known who will assume the mandate of Biedron. Catherine Dobkowska and Mirosława Sagun-Lewandowska, who took part in the election, each won 189 votes. Each of them also won the same number of circuits. In the end, who will draw the mandate of the former president of Slupsk will decide the draw.

"It's a bad idea"

Biedron explains that he is a responsible politician and that he will not maintain the mandate just to stay on the stool.

– I do not want to be his judge, but I think you can be an adviser and activist of the national movement – replies Michał Kamiński from PSL-UED parliamentary club.

Now Robert Biedroń is driving to Poland. Meetings with people will help him to create the final program of the future political party. Although former president Słupska said that some politicians would rather not drive in Poland and build their movement, according to Barbara Nowacka, "the more politically motivated people are, the better."

It is a negative reaction that Robert Biedroń wants to go alone to the next elections. – Fragmentation on the left is already very important – notes Andrzej Rozenek of the Alliance of the Democratic Left.

According to the former member of the Palikot Movement, "another small party, which will try to win the hearts of voters, is a bad idea".

The party's former colleague, Biedronia, said he should stop on the final decision of the independent start in the upcoming elections. – We have already learned this lesson from local elections and we, SLD, are looking for alliances. We want to form the widest possible alliance in the next elections and I would recommend Robert Biedroni with the same thought – says Rozenek.
