"Rzeczpospolita": PiS accepts the ritual massacre

The Sejm will work on a major amendment to the Animal Protection Law. The project has been completely relaxed – informs the newspaper.

"Rzeczpospolita" informs about amendments related to the amendment of the Animal Protection Act. One of the most important is the obligation to put the dog on a chip.

The amendment seeks, in addition to chiselling dogs, to increase the penalties for abusing or killing an animal, by introducing the name of a dog and a purebred cat in order to combat the so-called pseudohodowlami, the improvement regulations on animal homelessness and the ban on animal shows in circuses – we read.

At the same time, the most controversial rules will disappear from the project. It is a ban on ritual slaughter for the needs of Muslims and Jews, and a ban on keeping dogs tied. However, the most important change is to remove the ban on furbearing animals from the project.

According to the daily, PiS wants to return to the ban on breeding fur-bearing animals in the new mandate of the Sejm, in which she hopes to have a majority again.
