Almost 2% Fuels in Poland do not meet standards, according to UOKiK

– The quality of liquid fuels in Poland improves from year to year. In 2018, the standards did not respect only 1.90%. gasoline and diesel fuel samples taken at randomly selected service stations. It's less than in 2017 – said UOKiK chairman Marek Niechciał.

A year ago, standards did not meet 2.34%. fuels.

The Board regularly monitors all liquid fuels available to consumers, such as diesel, gasoline, LPG and biofuels. At the first inspection in 2003, it turned out that about 30%. fuels in Polish railway stations do not meet standards. However, this percentage has gradually decreased since 2015, remaining below 3%.

Irregularities were less frequent for gasoline (they were detected in 0.75% of these fuels) than for diesel (they were in 3.4%). The random sample was slightly larger than the previous year: together, inspectors examined samples from 947 stations.

The most significant irregularities occurred in the following provinces: Kujawsko-Pomorskie and Mazowieckie. However, in the voivodeships of Małopolskie, Opolskie, Podkarpackie, Pomorskie, więtokrzyskie, Warmińsko-Mazurskie and Wielkopolskie, none of the random samples were questioned – informed the UOKiK .
