In the first half of the Champions League match in Greece, the confusion was great. Supporters of both teams started a big fight and the police went into action.
Until the break on the scoreboard, there was a draw and blank. In the first half of this game much more than on the field, it was happening in the stands. There were very negative emotions between the supporters of both teams. Already before the first whistle of the referee, stones and flares were flying towards the spectators.
Subsequently, many explosions were caused by firecrackers. The police in the Athens stadium reacted only after several minutes.
Several Ajax fans were injured. Projected objects of some of them hit the face, causing bleeding. There was also fire in the stands.

Apparently, such a violent reaction of supporters of the AEK was provoked by the fact that among the Ajax fans sitting in the stands were sitting Panathinaikos Athens fans. Despite these events, the referee did not decide to interrupt the match.
