Already on August 19 premiere of the new criminal series "Rojst" with Andrzej Seweryn and Dawid Ogrodnik in the lead roles. However, before knowing the serial history of this duet, the nostalgic and dark atmosphere of the 80s will be introduced by a video for the song "Everything I Want Today" in the version of Brodka and the famous producer, A_GIM. The video was directed by Michał Marczak, the author of Sundance's "All Sleepless Nights", and the clip of "I Promised" by Radiohead.
In the original song" Everything I Want Today "sung Izabela Trojanowska. Now we will hear this well-known success in a brand new version. One of the most original and charismatic artists of the Polish music scene, Brodka, recorded the original version of the song, maintained in the style of the times The unique scenography, the costumes, the music and the light will take us somewhere in a small town in the 80s in Poland. "In the clip, next to Brodka, appears Piotr Fronczewski, embodying in the series" Rojst "the place of intersection, the fate of almost all the protagonists of the series. The video will also include Andrzej Seweryn, Dawid Ogrodnik, Agnieszka Żulewska and Zofia Wichłacz.
– The idea that before the show was made and the prologue to the series appeared very interesting to me. I wanted our version of the famous hit of the 80s, "Everything I Want Today", created for the needs of the prologue, take on a new character that fits the atmosphere of the series "Rojst". I imagined this original bouncing in a much slower, darker and stuffy, almost narcotic version. I thought it would go well with the aura and the theme of the series. The text of the song has also taken on a different meaning. And this clip with Mr. Piotr Fronczewski! – Monika Brodka said
– From the beginning, we knew with Monika that the song had to sound completely different. We wanted to maintain the spirit of the period in which the original was done, but using modern tools. In our version, we wanted to give a much darker climate, dirty and stuffy. It's also the scene that the song accompanies. – A_GIM, producer of the song
– In the clip, I wanted to express the climate of Polish folk hell – a club at the edge of a brothel, shown from a point of view slightly psychedelic. The main characters are strong and confident girls who take control of the club by presenting the men in a state of great embarrassment. Above all, Piotr Fronczewski, who seeks to understand what is happening in this strange city steeped in an elusive evil, added the director of the clip, Michał Marczak.
The soundtrack of the series "Rojst" therefore evokes the greatest hits of the 80s. In the context of the history of crime, we will also hear, among others, "Take care of me" interpreted by the group of the Reserve, "You are a cure for all the evils" of Krystyna Prońko and "Boskie Buenos" of the Maanam group. Jan Komar is responsible for the music of the author
