– The SLD Warsaw leadership on Thursday withdrew Andrzej Celiński's recommendation to start the presidential election in the capital – said party spokeswoman Anna Maria Żukowska. The decision of the capital authorities of the Alliance is linked to the vulgar inscriptions of Celiński on the Internet
As unofficially told PAP, the new candidate of the Alliance of the Democratic Left for the Mayor of Warsaw will be l & # 39; 39, former member and spokesperson of Ruch Palikot Andrzej Rozenek. Politician is currently a member of SLD, and in 2014 he was already a candidate for this position. He received 2.28%. votes in the first round of elections. Officially, Rozenka's candidacy must be presented at a press conference on Friday.
The vulgar entry of Celiński
Andrzej Celiński recently vulgarly shot on Facebook the leader of the association Free City Warsaw and the presidential candidate of the capital Jan Śpiewak. His entry was a reaction to a previous post of Śpiewak in the network, in which he suggested that Celiński had links with General Marian Robełk, who was involved – according to the WMW leader – in the so-called scandal of the reprivatisation. "Janie Śpiewaku, you're just … I'm asking you, not for a word, for the content of your message" – this is a fragment of the message that Celiński posted on Facebook. In the following entries, he had a discussion with Katarzyna Piekarska of the SLD, which he ordered to "pioneer".
The MMF leader acknowledged that the SLD candidate was beyond the limits of good taste. "The Celiński campaign has ended before it starts" – said Śpiewak
The opponent, minister, deputy
Andrzej Celiński is a former militant of the democratic opposition in the communist era, signatory of a letter of defense of the workers of Radom and Ursus, collaborator of the Workers' Defense Commission. From 1989 to 1990, he was a member of the citizens' committee of Lech Wałęsa and participated in the sessions of the round table. After 1989, he was among others senator (1989-1993), and later deputy (1993-1997), elected on the Democratic Union list
In 1999, Celiński became involved with the SLD. In the years 2001-2002, he was Minister of Culture in the government of Leszek Miller, and also member of the third term (2001-2005). In 2004, he left the Alliance and, together with Marek Borowski founded the Social Democracy of Poland (SdPl). In the 2007 parliamentary elections, he again received a parliamentary mandate from the list of Left and Democratic coalitions (SLD, SDPL, Labor Union, Democratic Party). Later, he joined the Democratic Party, of which he was the leader in 2012-2015. At present, Celiński remains non-partisan.
Four percent of Wierzbicki
In the last local elections, the SLD candidate for the president of Warsaw was Sebastian Wierzbicki. He got a support of 4.14%. Only two councilors: Waldemar Marszałek and Paulina Piechna-Więckiewicz managed to join the Alliance municipal council, which left the party during the mandate. Currently, he represents the Polish Initiative.
Andrzej Celiński was at the end of June a guest of the program "Facts after Facts":
